This category contains articles that have basic instructions with screen shots for the purpose of setting up an email client.
There are several things that need to be configured for your ACD email to work properly.
- Reply to/Sent from Email Address: Must match the username! Contact Support, if you need this set up different.
- Username: This will be your full email address with @acd.net(or applicable domain) at the end.
- Password: Make sure it's right!
Unencrypted Mail Setup for email clients
- Incoming Server: This is normally mail.acd.net on port 110
- Outgoing Server: This is normally smtp.acd.net on port 25.
- Outgoing server needs to authenticate(log in with UN PW info).
IMAP Configuration
- Username: This will be your full email address with @acd.net(or applicable domain) at the end.
- Password: Make sure it's right!
- Incoming Server: This is normally mail.acd.net on port 993 SSL.
- Outgoing Server: This is normally smtp.acd.net on port 465 SSL.
- Outgoing Server: Use the same settings as incoming mail server.
CPanel Email Accounts are configured similarly.
- Username: This will be your full email address with @DOMAIN.com at the end.
- Password: Make sure it's right!
- Incoming Server: This is normally mail.DOMAIN.com on port 110.
- Outgoing Server: This is normally mail.DOMAIN.com on port 25.
- Outgoing server needs to authenticate(log in with UN PW info).
- CPanel supports some alternate configurations, including IMAP.
