This document contains step-by-step process to debug line speed issues.

For DSL and EFM Line Speed Issues

  1. Confirm the Speed that your DSL line is connected to us. This will tell you the maximum transmission that the line is going to handle, based upon current sync speeds of your DSL or EFM loop. To do this go to How to check your DSL and EFM line speed
  2. Run a Bandwidth or Speed Testing. Record the results. ACD.net customer support will need this information in order to debug your speed or bandwidth issue if the data we see is different that what you are seeing.
  3. The most common problem that we see when there are connection speed issues is that the Ethernet Port Duplex and Speed Settings are not set correctly.
