When you open Outlook, it will look like this:
Click on File:
To add a new account click Add Account. Enter your email address and password:
Select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next.
Select Internet E-mail and click next.
Fill out the incoming and outgoing servers and enter your username(full email address) and password. Then click More Settings...
Go to the Outgoing Server tab and select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Now go to the Advanced tab and make sure Incoming is set to 110 and outgoing is set to 25. The This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) box should NOT be checked. The drop down for Use the following type of encrypted connection: should say None. Then click OK.
Outlook will test the settings for you:
Click close and then click Finish:
You should now be able to send and receive mail.
If you need to check an existing account, navigate to the File tab and click Account Settings:
Highlight the email account you want and click Change...
Verify the incoming and outgoing servers are set up and the User Name is your full email address. Then click More Settings...
Go to the Outgoing Server tab and verify the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box is selected. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
